Using Syl

These terms apply to Syl's hosted service. You must be at least 18 and have authority to use any accounts, systems, or information you connect. If you use Syl for an organisation, you confirm that you can accept these terms for it. Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us promptly if someone gains unauthorised access.

Your bots and content

You retain your rights in the content you provide. You give us permission to store, process, and transmit that content as needed to provide Syl, including to the model providers and tools used by your bots. You are responsible for having permission to use that content and for the instructions you give.

AI outputs can be inaccurate or incomplete. Review outputs and actions before relying on them, especially where they affect other people, money, legal obligations, or important systems. Do not treat Syl as a substitute for qualified professional advice.

Subscriptions and usage

Your order states your organisation’s plan, monthly USD price, applicable tax, billing period and space/bot quantities. Standard prices exclude tax; checkout shows the total before payment. All standard plans include the same features, native memory, optional Advanced memory and one shared computer per space under fair use. Enterprise defaults to shared computers and also permits assigning a private computer to an individual bot. AI model usage is funded separately. Enterprise terms require an authorised custom-price agreement and have no fixed commercial quantity or monthly included-use ceiling.

A monthly subscription renews until cancelled. Voluntary plan changes start at the next renewal. A downgrade requires existing spaces and bots to fit and restricts new provisioning to the accepted next quantities. We never delete or archive resources to make a downgrade fit.

Pay as you go credit

Your existing provider bills through its own plan or key; Syl charges nothing for that AI. Pay as you go credit pays for product-funded model requests at the quoted USD tariff. Review rates and credit terms before buying. There is no free monthly credit, automatic purchase or overage charge. Tax does not add credit. Syl performs no currency conversion; your bank or payment method may apply conversion fees.

Unused credit carries forward without monthly resets or expiry while your account is retained. An active paid plan is required to spend it. Cancellation retains unused credit and workspace data for reactivation. Account deletion is a separate permanent action; export needed data and contact support about unused credit first. Billing, refund and dispute records may outlast account deletion. A confirmed reversal removes unspent related credit; already consumed amounts require billing review.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel renewal in billing settings or contact support. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid billing period, and does not delete your account. If you are a consumer, statutory cancellation and refund rights still apply. Contact us within 14 days of your initial purchase to request a refund; we will refund that initial subscription payment. This does not limit any longer or additional rights the law gives you.

Fair use

Included memory and computers support ordinary interactive work and bounded routines. They are not a bulk historical-ingestion service, continuously running arbitrary background infrastructure, or a promise of uninterrupted processes while a computer sleeps. Up to 4 computers per organisation run at once on Starter, Team and Business, or 10 on Enterprise; excess work queues. Advanced memory admits up to 120 capture and recall requests per organisation per minute; excess cloud work pauses briefly and can retry. Saved notes and cloud-data cleanup remain available. Payload, execution-time and retry bounds protect service reliability. There is no hidden monthly computer-hour or memory balance and no automatic overage charge.

Sustained heavy legitimate work is not automatically abuse. A material restriction must identify the affected work, explain the reason, notify the organisation owner in advance where practical and offer review through support. Urgent runaway or security protection may pause affected work immediately, with a contextual notice. Saved data is preserved and unaffected workflows remain available where possible. Any future routine monthly allowance would require a disclosed offer change, not a reinterpretation of this policy.

Acceptable use

Do not use Syl for unlawful activity, unauthorised access, malware, fraud, harassment, or harmful content involving children. Do not send unsolicited bulk messages, bypass safeguards or usage limits, or access another customer's data. Only connect accounts and run tools that you are authorised to use.

Connected services

Third-party tools and model providers have their own terms, charges, and privacy practices. Their availability and behaviour can change. Syl may need your renewed permission when a connection expires or its permissions change.

Service changes and suspension

We may restrict access to address a security incident, unlawful use, abuse, or unpaid charges. Where practical, we will explain the reason and give you a chance to resolve it. We will give notice of material subscription changes before they affect a renewal, as required by law.

Ending your account

You can request account deletion from account settings. Save any work you need before deleting it. Required billing, dispute, and security records may be retained as described in the privacy policy. Cancellation, deletion, and any outstanding payment obligations are separate.

Your legal rights

Nothing in these terms removes consumer protections or excludes responsibility that the law does not allow us to exclude. If there is a problem with the service, contact us so we can work to resolve it. Your mandatory local rights remain available.
